Do you want to cool or freeze food and drinks, regardless of the ambient temperature? Then choose a powerful Mestic compressor cooler. The MCC-18 with a capacity of up to 18 litres keeps things cool both on the road and at your destination. Operate the cooler easily via the LCD display or the Mestic app in combination with your smartphone.
Compressor cooler with LCD display
With a Mestic compressor cooler you can cool or freeze food and drinks regardless of the ambient temperature. Both on the road and at a sunny destination. The Mestic MCC-18 can be easily connected to both 12 V and 24 V with the included car charger. Want to connect the cooler to a 230 V socket? You can do that with the 230 V adapter! Note: this is included as standard, but is also available separately. The cooler's performance remains the same wherever you use it.
The handy LCD display allows you to set the temperature accurately between -18 °C and +10 °C. Want to control the cooler remotely? That is also possible! With the Mestic app on your smartphone, you can easily turn the cooler on or off, adjust the temperature and choose the desired temperature unit. And that's not all! The powerful compressor cooler even has a USB port, so you can charge your phone or other devices on the go. Ideal for traveling or camping.

Refrigerated food and drinks for the whole family
The Mestic MCC-18 has a capacity of 18 litres and can hold 0.5 litre bottles. This means the cooler can hold enough snacks and drinks for several people. The compressor cooler has two compartments: one large and one smaller. This allows you to easily keep your chilled food and drinks separate. Weighing 11.4 kg and with recessed handles, you can easily move the cool box from one location to another. The cool box also has interior lighting, so you can always find what you are looking for, even in the dark!
If you choose the Mestic MCC-18, you are choosing a spacious compressor cool box that can both cool and freeze, regardless of the ambient temperature. Thanks to the included 230 V adapter, you can easily connect the cool box to a power outlet. Control the cool box easily with the Mestic app via Bluetooth or WiFi.
Use this quick guide to understand which Mestic cool box suits you,
your trips, vehicle and power setup.
Cooling performance & temperature range
This shows how cold the cool box can get and how well it holds that
temperature in warm weather. A wider temperature range and stronger
cooling performance are ideal if you’re travelling in hot climates,
want to keep meat and dairy safely chilled, or need a cool box that
can work more like a small camping fridge.
Compressor or thermoelectric technology
Compressor cool boxes offer powerful, fridge-like cooling and are a
good choice for longer trips and off-grid use. Thermoelectric models
are lighter and more affordable, and suit shorter breaks, day trips
and keeping drinks cold on the road. The technology type affects
cooling power, noise level and energy use.
Capacity (litres) & usable space
Capacity in litres tells you how much the cool box can hold. Think
about how many people you’re packing for and how long you’re away.
Look at the internal layout too – baskets, dividers and bottle-height
space make it easier to organise food and drink without wasting usable
room inside the box.
Power options (12V / 230V / other)
Power inputs show where you can run your cool box: from a 12V cigar
socket in the car, a 230V mains hook-up on site, or in some cases via
an inverter or solar setup. If you move between driving, wild camping
and EHU pitches, a dual-voltage 12V and 230V cool box gives you the
most flexibility.
Energy efficiency & battery protection
Power consumption indicates how hard the cool box draws on your
vehicle or leisure battery. Lower wattage and efficient compressors
are better for off-grid camping, small solar systems and longer
stays. Built-in battery protection modes help prevent the cool box
from flattening your starter battery, so you can still start the
engine when it’s time to head home.
Size, weight & portability
External dimensions, handles and overall weight tell you how easy the
cool box is to move and where it will fit. If you often carry it from
the vehicle to a pitch, beach or awning, look for robust handles,
wheels (where fitted) and a size that suits your boot, campervan or
motorhome garage space.
18L Compact Cool Box
Ideal when space is tight. The 18L size keeps drinks and snacks cold for one or two people
without taking over the boot or floor space in your camper.
Trip size: Perfect for day trips, picnics and short stays.
Who it suits: Solo travellers, couples and small vans.
Packing feel: Enough room for essentials, not so big it’s awkward to move.
Power options: Run it on 12V while driving, 230V on site.
Real benefit: A proper compressor fridge solution that still feels genuinely compact.
