Solar Charge Controller MPPT MSC-4010

With the Mestic MPPT Solar charge controller MSC-4010 you connect your solar panel to the battery. By using a regulator you charge your battery safely and extend its life. The Mestic MSC-4010 regulator with MPPT technology maximizes your energy output.

MPPT charge controller solar panels

A charge controller adjusts the voltage level of the solar panel toward the voltage of the battery. This charges the battery safely and extends its life. This MPPT solar charge controller is suitable for charging a wet, gel, sealed and lithium batteries. The MPPT technology automatically tracks the maximum power point and thus always extracts the maximum power from the solar panels. Even when the sun shines less brightly, the efficiency remains high. Sometimes up to 30% higher than with a PWM controller. Thanks to the LCD display, the operating status of the regulator and the battery charge level are easy to follow and set.

Main Benefits

  • Suitable for solar panels up to 130 W
  • Suitable for wet, gel, sealed and lithium batteries
  • Protected against: overload, excessive discharge, short circuit, high voltage and reverse polarity connection
  • Gets the maximum power from your solar panel
  • Prolongs battery life
  • System voltage: 12 V / 24 V
  • Current: 10 A (charging)
  • Input voltage: 75 V

Combine with solar panel up to 130 W

The Mestic MPPT charge regulators use advanced techniques. For example, the regulator disconnects the voltage of the battery and the solar panel. This allows you to connect a 12 V or 24 V battery to solar panels with a higher voltage without any problems. In doing so, the charge controller takes into account the charge level of the battery. In addition, the solar charge controller is equipped with extensive electronic protection. Among other things, they protect against overloading, excessive discharge, short circuits, high voltage and reverse polarity connection. This allows you to generate green energy in a safe way! The MPPT Solar charge controller MSC-2010 can handle 10 A of current and can be combined with a solar panel up to 130 W.

In short, the Mestic MPPT Solar charge controller MSC-4010 connects your solar panel to the battery and ensures that it is safely charged. Thanks to MPPT technology, you are assured of maximum energy output.

What these solar panel specs mean for you

Below is a quick guide to what each of these figures means in day-to-day use, so you can judge whether this panel will comfortably support the way you camp.

Max power (W)

This is the peak wattage the panel can produce in strong sunlight. A higher watt rating means more total energy over the course of the day, so it’s easier to keep leisure batteries topped up when you’re running cool boxes, pumps, lighting and multiple USB devices.

If you spend several nights off-grid or rely heavily on 12 V appliances, prioritise panels with higher wattage for more reliable daily charging.

Max current (A)

Max current is the highest charging current the panel can deliver through a suitable solar charge controller. The higher the amps, the faster your leisure battery can recover after use, especially during shorter daylight windows.

This is particularly important for campers who arrive late on site, use a lot of power in the evening or run Lithium batteries that can safely accept faster charging.

Max voltage (V)

Max voltage shows the panel’s operating voltage under load. Higher voltage helps reduce losses over longer cable runs – for example on larger motorhomes or roof-rack installations where the panel is some distance from the charge controller.

It also gives you a bit more headroom in cooler or cloudier conditions when panel voltage naturally dips, helping the controller stay within its ideal working range.

How this affects your set-up

Together, these three values give a good picture of real-world performance: max power tells you how much energy the panel can produce in a day, max current shows how quickly it can recharge your battery, and max voltage indicates how efficiently it will deliver that power through your wiring.

If you mostly stay on hook-up or only trickle-charge a battery between trips, a lower output panel may be perfectly adequate. If you regularly camp off-grid, run several 12 V appliances or depend on solar as your main charging source, choosing higher outputs in all three areas will provide noticeably stronger, more dependable performance.
