A charge controller adjusts the voltage level of the solar panel toward the voltage of the battery. This charges the battery safely and extends its life. This MPPT solar charge controller is suitable for charging a wet, gel, sealed and lithium batteries. The MPPT technology automatically tracks the maximum power point and thus always extracts the maximum power from the solar panels. Even when the sun shines less brightly, the efficiency remains high. Sometimes up to 30% higher than with a PWM controller. Thanks to the LCD display, the operating status of the regulator and the battery charge level are easy to follow and set.

Below is a quick guide to what each of these figures means in day-to-day use,

Max power (W)
This is the peak wattage the panel can produce in strong sunlight.
A higher watt rating means more total energy over the course of the day,
so it’s easier to keep leisure batteries topped up when you’re running cool boxes,

Max current (A)
Max current is the highest charging current the panel can deliver through a suitable

power in the evening or run Lithium batteries that can safely accept faster charging.
Max voltage (V)
Max voltage shows the panel’s operating voltage under load. Higher voltage helps
reduce losses over longer cable runs – for example on larger motorhomes or roof-rack
installations where the panel is some distance from the charge controller.
It also gives you a bit more headroom in cooler or cloudier conditions when panel
