Solar panel Monocrystalline MSMO-120

Easily generate renewable power with the Mestic Solar panel Monocrystalline MSMO-120. The PERC technology ensures a higher energy yield. This provides all your appliances with the power they need and enjoy extra freedom.

High energy yield through new Shingled PERC technology

With the Mestic Solar panel Monocrystalline MSMO-120, you will be less dependent on the mains for electricity at your campsite. Thanks to the monocrystalline PERC technology, the solar panel offers excellent performance. PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) is a technology that adds an extra layer to the back of the solar cell. This extra layer provides better reflection of sunlight and ensures that more of the energy generated is converted into energy. Monocrystalline PERC panels therefore have a higher efficiency than traditional monocrystalline panels. Even in cloudy weather, this efficiency difference is very noticeable. Use your green generated power for the kettle, microwave oven or vacuum cleaner, for example. With a positive power tolerance of +3%, you are assured of stable power. Finally, the black solar panel consists of monocrystalline solar cells, which provide an even dark colour and plain texture.

Main benefits

  • Made of high quality monocrystalline silicon solar cells
  • PERC technology ensures high energy output even in low light conditions
  • Stable output power with a tolerance of +3%
  • Functions at temperatures from -40°C to 85°C
  • CE, RoHS and ISO certified
  • Includes mounting brackets for easy installation
  • Dimensions: 106.5 x 58 x 4.1 cm (lxwxh)
  • Number of solar cells: 33

Resistant and hard-wearing

The Mestic Solar panel MSMO-120 is perfect for on the RV, caravan and boat. The set includes a PERC solar panel, two mounting brackets, a roof grommet with cable connectors and a connection cable. You easily connect the connection cable with a diameter of 2.5 mm and a length of 500 cm to the charge controller. In addition, the solar panel meets ISO and technical quality requirements in the European safety, health and environmental legislation. This assures you of a safe and high quality solar panel. Moreover, the panel performs excellently under all weather conditions and is wear-resistant, which ensures an extra long life.

Do you enjoy the freedom of camping? With a monocrystalline solar panel, you are less dependent on the mains for electricity at the campsite. The efficient panel with smart PERC technology is the perfect power supply for the environmentally conscious camper.

Why choose this panel?

• 120W output gives a strong balance of power and efficiency for most touring setups.
• Monocrystalline cell design for improved performance in mixed and cloudy UK conditions.
• Compact enough for smaller roofs but powerful enough to meaningfully support fridges, fans, pumps and regular 12V use.

What this panel is best for

The MSMO-120 is ideal for caravans, motorhomes and campervans that want reliable off-grid support without installing a large panel. It provides steady charging to keep your leisure battery healthy during weekend trips and extended touring holidays.

Good to know

• Must be used with a suitable 12V solar charge controller to protect your leisure battery.
• Works with AGM, Gel and Lithium batteries when combined with a compatible controller.
• For best performance, mount on a roof area with minimal shading, such as next to rooflights or vents.

What these solar panel specs mean for you

Below is a quick guide to what each of these figures means in day-to-day use, so you can judge whether this panel will comfortably support the way you camp.

Max power (W)

This is the peak wattage the panel can produce in strong sunlight. A higher watt rating means more total energy over the course of the day, so it’s easier to keep leisure batteries topped up when you’re running cool boxes, pumps, lighting and multiple USB devices.

If you spend several nights off-grid or rely heavily on 12 V appliances, prioritise panels with higher wattage for more reliable daily charging.

Max current (A)

Max current is the highest charging current the panel can deliver through a suitable solar charge controller. The higher the amps, the faster your leisure battery can recover after use, especially during shorter daylight windows.

This is particularly important for campers who arrive late on site, use a lot of power in the evening or run Lithium batteries that can safely accept faster charging.

Max voltage (V)

Max voltage shows the panel’s operating voltage under load. Higher voltage helps reduce losses over longer cable runs – for example on larger motorhomes or roof-rack installations where the panel is some distance from the charge controller.

It also gives you a bit more headroom in cooler or cloudier conditions when panel voltage naturally dips, helping the controller stay within its ideal working range.

How this affects your set-up

Together, these three values give a good picture of real-world performance: max power tells you how much energy the panel can produce in a day, max current shows how quickly it can recharge your battery, and max voltage indicates how efficiently it will deliver that power through your wiring.

If you mostly stay on hook-up or only trickle-charge a battery between trips, a lower output panel may be perfectly adequate. If you regularly camp off-grid, run several 12 V appliances or depend on solar as your main charging source, choosing higher outputs in all three areas will provide noticeably stronger, more dependable performance.
